Features

The Nissan Leaf has zero tailpipe emissions. It doesn't even have tailpipes, as there's nothing to emit! This is a 100% electric vehicle. Forget hybrids, this is a purebred for Peoria.

The Nissan Leaf comes with the Nissan Navigation System to get you where you're going in Central Illinois. It can hold 5 passengers and has 5 doors. You can easily travel around Peoria, Springfield, or Bloomington Normal and go shopping and dining with the family.

The top speed of the Nissan Leaf is 90 miles an hour, so if you need to drive on the Illinois Interstate, this Nissan will be able to keep up with its gas cousins.

Engine & Power

The Nissan Leaf is powered by an 80 kW AC synchronous electric motor. Also on the inside is the 24 kWh lithium-ion battery, which will hold your vehicle's charge.

The Nissan Leaf has all of the safety and brake features that Peoria and Illinois have come to expect. It has power assisted front disc/rear disc brakes 4-wheel anti-lock braking system, an electronic parking brake, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, coasting regenerative brakes, front and rear stabilizer bars, and vehicle speed-sensitive power-assisted steering.

The Leaf also comes with a portable trickle charge cable and a tire repair kit.

Looks

Beginning at the bottom, this car has 16" alloy wheels wrapped in P205/55R16 tires. The headlights are LED for maximum power, safety, and energy conservation. The door handles are chrome, there is a cover and rear diffuser. The underbody of the Nissan Leaf is aerodynamic, and the rear spoiler emphasizes that aerodynamic look and caps off the body.

Interior

Inside the Nissan Leaf you will find many features and amenities. It has room for 5 passengers, and the rear seats fold down in a 60/40 split, just in case you need to transport some larger shopping purchases across Peoria, or even down to Springfield in your Nissan Leaf. The Leaf has a digital meter cluster, push button ignition, a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, the Nissan Navigation System, power locks and windows, automatic temperature control, illuminated glove compartment, intermittent rear window wiper, a 12-volt DC power outlet, a tilt steering column, and much more.

Entertainment

The Nissan Leaf comes equipped ready to entertain in Illinois. In addition to the standard AM/FM/CD audio system with MP3/WMA playback, it also has XM Satellite Radio, an auxiliary audio input jack for your MP3 player, and a USB connection port for MP3 players and other devices. The Nissan Leaf plays all of this through its six-speaker system.

Safety & Security

Nissan knows that safety is what really matters. As such, the Nissan LEAF comes equipped with an advanced air bag system that has dual-stage supplemental front air bags with occupant-classification and seat belt sensors. There are driver and front-passenger seat mounted side impact air bags. More airbags are mounted in the roof, these curtain side supplemental air bags provide front and rear occupant head protection.

In addition to airbags, Nissan has included other safety systems to keep you on the road in Illinois. These include vehicle dynamic control with a traction control system, a tire pressure monitoring system, the Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System, and the vehicle secure system.
